Vacation Bible School 2019

June 24-28

Gas up the all-terrain vehicle and head out on a wilderness adventure like no other. Get up close and personal with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, cockatoos and crocodiles, and so much more! Grab your camera and zoom in on these animals in their natural habitats. Maybe you can even snag a snapshot or two.
This summer kids will focus in on some amazing, real-life encounters with Jesus. Each encounter is like a snapshot—a speci c moment in time captured on the pages of Scripture. Through VBS, kids will discover that each snapshot of Jesus is an opportunity to respond to the gospel. And when put together, these isolated encounters clearly reveal the most amazing truth of all—Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing we can have life in His name. Are you ready for an up close and personal encounter with Jesus? The adventure of a lifetime awaits!

Vacation Bible School 2019 will take place at First Baptist Church June 24-28, 9am-noon each day.

Are you new to VBS at FBC?

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a week-long, Bible-based event for children. All children entering kindergarten through grade 6 are welcome at VBS, and there is no cost to attend. We take safety seriously at FBC and we do our very best to make sure that everyone stays safe at VBS. All activities are supervised by responsible adults in accordance with our Child Protection Policy, and all of our adult leaders go through a screening process that includes a background check. At VBS your child will have a fantastic time making new friends, watching skits, singing songs, playing games, making crafts, enjoying fun snacks, learning about world missions, and, most importantly, getting to know the God who loves them through daily Bible lessons! Although we do not charge for VBS, the boys and girls always have a fun time competing to see who can bring in the most offerings, all of which go to support missions. On the last day, a representative for the boys and a representative for the girls face off and the “loser” of the VBS offering competition gets to enjoy a pie in the face. None of the money collected during VBS is used to pay for VBS. On the last day of VBS (Friday), right after the closing rally, we host a picnic for the VBS kids and their families. VBS is a blast every year. We’d love to have you join us this summer! If you’d like to get a better idea of what VBS is like, please watch the slideshow from VBS 2017.
