Education is one of the key aspects of disciple making (Matthew 28:19-20). At First Baptist Church we want to be making disciples of Jesus and growing in our faith together, and that is why Christian education is important to us (Colossians 1:28; 3:16). Sunday school is just one of the ways that we seek to teach one another. Every Sunday from September-June Sunday school classes begin at 10:30 a.m. for all ages. Below is some additional information about our current Sunday school classes.

Note on The Gospel Project:
This year many of our Sunday School classes will be using The Gospel Project curriculum from Lifeway. The Gospel Project is a chronological study of the Bible that aims to show how all of Scripture points to Jesus Christ. This new curriculum presents a wonderful opportunity for parents to be engaged with what their children are learning, because all of The Gospel Project classes are “aligned,” which means everyone studies the same passage of Scripture and the same basic lesson each Sunday. As a result, any parent who helps teach a Sunday School class, and any parent who the adult Gospel Project class, will already know the passage and topic their children learned before classes end. Our hope and prayer is that this new curriculum will better equip parents to talk with their kids about what they learned in Sunday School, and to teach about God and His Word more confidently at home throughout the week.
